I have here a real mix of Orange as examples of today's Roy G Biv day search. The first one is a mixed media piece on a wood panel which includes paper, paint and cloth. The second piece is all beeswax on wood except for the square buttons and paper writing strips and the third is a cloth piece which includes stitching, beads and ink. DeleteA lot of people seem to like including birds in their artwork. But I must say, your bird piece is not only original, but the combination of colors, texture and whimsy is perfect.

DeleteThese are all so different, Mary Ann! I love the birds, but that saturated orange on the beeswax piece makes my heart sing!
ReplyDeleteSharmon, Thank you. Every so often I polish it with a soft cloth and it glows and the scent of the beeswax returns.
DeleteThe top piece is especially striking - I love the contrast between the texture of the fence and the (implied) softness of the birds ... and that orange of course - so vibrant!
