So easy to find examples of blue ... it's a go to color for me, one I never get tired of mixing. Mostly use Phthalo and Ultramarine blue. All of these images are found in my catalog M.Lehrer-Plansky 2008-2012. For more examples of "Blue" go to Jennifer Coyne Qudeen and Julie Booth and enjoy the search for Roy G Biv Day!!

  1. I love these pieces! I must admit that, though I do like certain shades, blue is my least favorite color...yet I I find these collage-paintings absolutely beautiful. (Maybe it's the pairing of blues with oranges & greens?) In any case, your love of blue certainly seems to come out in these!

    1. Arzigogolare, It's amazing how we all find our favorite colors. I've never painted walls blue but I do like to wear or paint with blue and yes blue works best paired with oranges and greens!

  4. I love the subtlety of the blues in your works, especially in the two 'Sacred Vessels' pieces and also in the last 'Space Myth' ... what a great title that is for a series of work.

    1. Charlton Stitcher, Thank you so much. The 'Space Myth' series was a rich and personal development as I have always been fascinated with outer space and the ancient myths that connect us to so many of the planets and moon and stars.

  5. I love seeing all of this blue work! Even though they're from different series, the color combinations and even the shapes echo each other and work together so well... Happy blues to you!

    2. wonderful blues. thanks for gathering them together. I find blue hard to use myself. yet now I have determined with my white hair I just want to wear blues and white.

    3. Suki, Thank you. I think white hair is a true blank canvas ... great to wear pastels and striking to wear reds or blacks! White is nice too!

    1. Thank you Jill, This piece was a key one in a series about 'direction' both personal and artistic. I also went back to collographs to create the compass so it is always special to me.
