Sharing the Bookshelves

This was a post I had planned describing my new books, old books and how difficult it has been to share this space. I had planned on taking a few close-ups but I woke up this morning with a screeching, screaming sore throat. I will be taking a few days off beginning NOW to recover. I hope to be visiting all of you as I feel better. Meanwhile enjoy these first few days of the new year !

  5. I'm sorry that you are feeling funky. Good idea to just hunker down and get better. I wish that I had the money to buy the book that Leslie has talked about on her blog: one by Sibella Court about collections. I looked it up because it sounded so intriguing but it was $189! Our of my range right now. Maybe I'll check the library. Get better soon.

  7. Oh, Mary Ann, sorry that "it" has got you too! I was sickish for days, low energy, cough, sore throat, achy, but ever so much better. How you nip it in the bud and feel your frisky self soon! Yes, hot lemon and tea and a good book are the best friends.

  15. Oh gosh - me too. I mean a screaming sore throat. The good news is it's about day 3 for me and it seems to just be turning into a cold - no fever or body aches. I hope this is not too hard on you. I recommend Echinacea and vitamin C right away. Love the bookshelf - you know me and books!

  20. Oh nooooo, please feel better soon, Mary Ann. The only good thing about being sick is you get to dip into your new books even if its just a paragraph here and there. I swear by hot lemon, honey and fresh ginger tea. It's delicious and almost addictive.
